Bear Ryver is a professional astrologer with roots in the Pacific Northwest and the Bay Area. He began his professional practice in 2018 and that same year he was named Most Promising Astrologer by the Organization for Professional Astrology (OPA). Since then, in addition to consulting, Bear has offered his time and expertise as a mentor, teacher, and speaker at summits and conferences like Fresh Voices in Astrology, NORWAC, and ISAR. He began his astrological studies in the early ‘00’s with psychological and evolutionary perspectives, using the cycles of the Moon to time his queer youth activist campaigns. Bear holds certifications in Hellenistic and Electional from Chris Brennan’s Astrology School, and a Horary Practitioners certificate from the School of Traditional Astrology. These days you can find him immersed in the stacks of Olympia’s Celestial Arts Education Library Institute (CAELi), writing books, or staring up at the stars.
