Study the four main asteroid goddesses—Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, and Juno—and how they relate to the expression of feminine energy, and what they have in common with Chiron, the wounded warrior.

Prerequisites:

This course requires knowledge of the basic meaning of signs, glyphs, houses, planets, and aspects  in the natal chart and progressed and/or directed charts, understanding how to interpret and determine the duration of transits in aspect to the natal, progressed or directed chart using bi-wheels and the graphic ephemeris, familiarity with how to create natal and bi-wheel charts and how to add planets to the displays in the astrological software of your choice.

The four Asteroid Goddesses and Chiron have an important role to play in identifying and healing past traumas that continue to affect the lives of individuals. The course covers:

  • The feminine principles and characteristics of each asteroid goddess and how they are expressed in natal charts
  • The natal wound and its healing, as indicated by Chiron.
  • How the speed of the orbits of the asteroids affects the timing of event

Weekly Topics:

  • Week 1 begins with a brief review of the role of the Asteroid Goddesses in Greek and Roman mythology and the basic astronomical attributes of asteroids in the solar system.
  • Weeks 1-4 cover the mythology of one of the four Asteroid Goddesses (Ceres, Pallas-Athena, Vesta, and Juno). The week reviews who she was, her story, how her stories are meaningful to astrological interpretation, and the basic astronomical attributes and movement of the physical asteroid.  Examples of historical individuals and events are analyzed by class participants.
  • Week 5 covers the mythology of Chiron, his story, the basic astronomical attributes and movement of the physical asteroid, and how all of the asteroid goddesses relate to Chiron.  Examples of historical individuals and events are reviewed with all five asteroids in the charts by participants.

Objectives:

Understand how the principles and characteristics of the Asteroid Goddesses are expressed from the feminine perspective in both male and female charts.

  • Recognizing the type of grief associated with Chiron and each Asteroid Goddess
  • Identifying times of stress, as indicated by their transits, when related suffering, grief, and/or healing are likely to occur.
  • Identifying and healing wounds between the charts of individuals in relationship
