Hellenistic Considerations of the Moon

Hellenistic Considerations of the Moon

The Moon has preoccupied humans for many thousands of years, likely since we came into being. Gain an understanding of the cosmology of the Hellenistic period and analyse the Moon’s solar phase cycle, planetary nodes, aspects, and the lots, also known as parts, associated with her.

Using ancient primary sources, study special considerations that are discussed by these authors and explore topics that were developed in this time period. Students will be equipped with both techniques and a conceptual framework for interpreting the Moon in both natal and electional charts.

Prerequisites:

This course is aimed at those with foundational astrological knowledge (beginner) and will include enough new information for more experienced students (intermediate) seeking to go deeper into the Hellenistic material.
