The Decennials, coming from the root (dec-) meaning ten, are a method of dividing our lives into decades of time, telling the stories of our life through the handing off of the planets from one to another, also known as planetary timelords.

They are attributed to the ancient Egyptian astrologers and were used by many Hellenistic authors as a central piece to their predictive practice.

In this course, we will uncover the ways every horoscope undergoes a unique sequence of decade and sub-decade periods, and through layering the timelords with their power at the birth, to their powers in their transits, we can uncover the ways our life unfolds in the decades and months of our lives!

At the end of the course, the student should fluently identify the strongest decennial releasing candidates, and release the planets through the main three levels of decennial timing and integrate one additional sublayer of their choice with the inception’s transits to identify:

• the prominent themes of any given time, 
• the sequence of events in people’s lives by constantly referring to the previous and sequential time rulers,
• how transits modify the natal power of the timelords at the time of their activation,
• know and practice at least one of a few alternate systems for timing within smaller periods of time, according to a group of methods known as the ‘annual divisions’.

Prerequisites:

A strong foundation in natal astrology, by being able to assess the roles and conditions of the planets, so that as we analyze their activation as timelords, the students will already understand how and why each planet is performing according to the horoscope. 

Students may come preferably with some background in any form of traditional astrology, including a knowledge of essential and accidental dignities, as well as fluency in calculating and delineating transits to the natal chart. That entails being able to judge and delineate the transits of the 7 traditional planets through the houses and to the natal planets.
